Developmental FunctionaL Annotation at Tufts

About:

We are an interdisciplinary team dedicated to annotating gene function related to human fetal development. We are contributing new functional annotation to the Gene Ontology, curating and mining gene sets suitable for the interpretation of developmental genomic data, and creating the computational tools needed to apply genomics for better understanding the molecular mechanisms of human development.

This bioinformatics project, led by principal investigator Donna Slonim, involves close collaboration with Diana Bianchi at Tufts Medical Center and Carla Brodley at Tufts Computer Science Department.

We thank the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development for supporting this project through R01 HD058880.
